About Amber&Eden Tallow

I grew up on a little farm in the beautiful Black Forest of Germany, where we had a restaurant, horses, fields and plenty of forest to get lost in — usually by choice! It was a pretty magical childhood.

My grandmother was a chef, and she was a big part of why I fell in love with food. At 17, I left home and started my chef apprenticeship, which eventually took me into some of Germany’s best hotels.

Then Australia happened.

I spent ten years working as a chef here before having my first child.

But I still wanted to create something. Something special. Something that combined my love of food, creativity and beautiful things — but also allowed me to be there for my family.

And so Amber & Eden was born.

It’s a little piece of my journey — from a farm in the Black Forest, to professional kitchens, to motherhood, and finally to creating something of my own.

A business born from a love of food, family, and the belief that sometimes the best things come from completely changing the plan.
